PDFShot

Watermark

Free-plan PDFs include a small "Made with PDFShot" footer. Paid plans render clean.

Free plan watermark

Every PDF generated on the Free plan renders with a small footer in the PDF itself:

Made with PDFShot · pdfshot.deepsyte.com

The watermark is rendered by Playwright at PDF generation time via the footerTemplate option — it's not added by any post-processing step and you can't remove it client-side. The footer takes ~16mm of the bottom margin.

The Solo plan ($9/month) and higher render PDFs without any PDFShot branding. The user's plan is looked up once per job at conversion time:

FreeFooter on every PDF
SoloNone
ProNone (when shipped)

If you upgrade mid-month, any new captures from that point render clean. Existing captures keep their original render — PDFShot doesn't re-render old PDFs when you change plans.

Why a watermark, not a quota wall

Watermarking gives the free plan real production value: every PDF works, every link is permanent, the API and dashboard are fully unlocked. The watermark exists so the paid tier has a clear UX upgrade signal beyond just "more PDFs per month."

If you're building a customer-facing product on the free tier and want clean PDFs, see Pricing.
